Gabriel Gibogo

Manyara, Tanzania.

 

Gabriel works in the Lake region of Mara, Tanzania which has been experiencing a prolonged HIV epidemic. The region has a very small Christian community which is marginalized, resisted and not infrequently persecuted. As with much of the Mara region, Manyara suffers low education rates, malnutrition and poverty.

 

ACrossMission is blessed in partnering with the Anglican Diocese of Rorya in the Mara region of Tanzania. In this region scarred by poverty, disease, tradition and drought the Gospel is resisted. Under the leadership of Bishop John Adiema the love of Christ is being taught in word and deed through a dedicated group of pastors. In this remote rural setting harsh pagan rituals govern and shape life. Gabriel's work in Manyara brings light to this darkness - he teaches the love of Jesus.
