Rev. Lucas Mnanka

Gamasara, Tanzania.

 

Rev. Lucas works in Gamasara, a village bisected by a very busy "highway" leading south from the Kenyan border in western Tanzania. The border regions are always very risky areas to live in. The traffic and flow of people who are often 'on the run' bring challenges to the community. Road deaths of women and children from reckless driving are all too common. A transient population seeking to remain out of sight of authorities brings with it violence and crime. There is trafficking in women, girls, black market gold ore, drugs, alcohol, and prostitution. There is a lack of peace and stability, so the area is steeped in need, hunger, and poverty. There is a great need to know God, His Love and the Gospel.

 

ACrossMission seeks support for this Christian presence in this very difficult region.
